If the skies turned dark during the middle of the day, most just believed another storm was rolling in, but those few that lived with her and knew her personally knew that the storm was not just from the atmosphere, but conjured by Storm herself. The new headmistress of the school still has yet to adjust to the loss of her great friends and her abilities were constantly showing it. Busying herself away in the War Room, deep below Xavier's mansion, Storm has missed most of the students training and has been forced to give her instructor position to new members of the X-Men team.

As Gambit, Fallacy, and the other X-Men continue to teach the students of Xavier's Institute for Gifted Children, the Brotherhood have also been continuing their own business. After the incident at Alcatraz, their numbers had diminished vastly, though a new breed of rebelious mutants have taken the thrown. Deep in secret, these mischievious mutants have continued the beliefs that the world no longer belonged to the homo sapient race, but instead to the homo superior and swiftly have been developing plans to take it over.

Another threat, though, has also arisen far to the north: the Purge. A twisted and sick religious group has vowed to rid the world of the mutant race altogether, but in order to do so, they know that they cannot do it alone. By acquiring, through persuasion or kidnapping young mutants, they twist the minds of these young ones into believing false truths in order to turn their abilities on their own kind. Now, their cause is still hidden, but it is quickly growing and soon will send its troops out to begin their very own crusades.
